Do any of the vehicles have awnings? There are no awnings on the motorhome rental units and we do not carry awnings to rent. Awnings are either removed entirely or permanently locked so they cannot be opened. Recreational bicycles and bike racks are available at some of our fly-drive locations on a first come first served basis: by request only . Note:We do NOT carry any Mountain or Motor Bikes at any location. The staff at each location may be able to provide directions to where one can be purchased. What are the dimensions of the motor home? All our Swift motorhomes have been accredited full 'European Whole Vehicle Type Approval' and this is the only UK manufacturer to have achieved this high standard. Our vehicles are no more than 12 months old and are fitted with the latest safety equipment, including seatbelts on all designated passenger seats. We provide a range of extra safety equipment as a part of our on board inventory such as a first aid kit, fire blanket, high visibility vest and warning triangle. Can I pick up my motor home from one rental location and drop it off to another rental location? Yes, however a one way rental fee will be applicable and this will vary depending on the combination of pick up and drop off points. For example, the applicable one way fee for a Los Angeles pick up and a San Francisco drop off is US$200 plus tax. What storage facilities are there in the vehicle? All of our motorhomes have some on-board storage. Motorhome units vary in the amount of external storage space that is available. This ranges from as few as one external storage compartment with only 8 cubic feet of space up to 5 external storage compartments, some with up to 24 cubic feet of space. In general, the greater the length, the greater the amount of storage space in both number of external storage compartments as well as the total volume in each compartment." Are there appliances I am unable to use if I am not plugged into the 240 volt mains power? The appliances you will be unable to use when unplugged from the mains power are: the microwave, electric kettle (jug), toaster and of course your hair dryer! Please note: a kettle (jug) for use on the gas stove is provided. To be self-sufficient means you are able to provide for oneself without the help of others i.e. you do not need to be plugged into mains power at a camp site. For most of U.S. rentals, a $500. reservation deposit, or half of the rental, is charged to your credit card at the time of confirmation. This is later applied toward your rental charges. What does it mean to be self-contained? A self contained motorhome is designed to meet the ablutionary and sanitary needs of the occupants for a minimum of three days without requiring any external services or discharging any waste. Fresh water for drinking and cooking is stored in tanks. Waste water is collected in waste water tanks and disposed of via a dump station facility, connected to a proper sewerage scheme. To be self-sufficient means you are able to provide for oneself without the help of others i.e. About the Author: get all the free insider information.
