China has emerged as an economic super power of the world. Every segment of the economy has contributed its share in achieving that status and tourism is one of them. China can be explained as a bunch of flowers with each flower has its own color. With a huge choice of destinations, sometimes it becomes really hard for the travelers to opt but even then visiting Shanghai is a must do thing for all of them. Shanghai is China's second largest population center. It is situated on the East China Sea and on either side are the provinces of Jiangsu and Zhejiang. Known as the business capital, Shanghai has equal right to the title of fashion capital of China. The city entrances its tourists with its incredible malls and a la mode shops. A large number of well-known brand names and foreign food franchises have set up residence here. The city possessed a magnificent architecture. There are number of modern developments especially the Pudong area is occupied by some eye catching skyscrapers. The Oriental Pearl Tower and the Jin Mao Tower, which is also regarded as the tallest man-made creature in this city, are the real attractions for the tourists. The French Concession area is a perfect place for all those who have some interest in the past. Here, the villas and old lane homes are just a treat to watch. The Huang Pu River is flowing in the middle of the city and has split Shanghai into two parts, which are named as Puxi and Pudong. Travelers find it extremely interesting to view both ends of the city by standing at the bridges that built over the river. Places like Huai Hai Road, Yu Yuan Gardens, People's Square, Aquaria 21, Malone's American Cafe and Shanghai Grand Theater Gallery cannot be ignored, as they are one of the main attractions of this city. Travelers are asked to take care and protect themselves because of the state of the weather in this city. Although the winters are short they are harsh, on the other hand the summers are long and highly humid. The best time to visit Shanghai is between the beginnings of April till the end of May as everything is ideal at this time of the year. This is the best time as the possibilities of showers are slim, it is possible to put up with the heat and the charges for stay and etc. is a lot cheaper that during the peak tourist months. It is possible to travel to this city by air, road or train. A number of International airlines provide flights to Shanghai.
