Recently, there has been a sharp increase in tourism in Panama and travelers worldwide have discovered the beautiful spots that this country has to offer. In this article, you will discover where are the best places to visit in this beautiful country.

The Republic of Panama is located in Central America between Colombia and Costa Rica. Its capital is Panama city and its population is around four million people. Spanish is the primary language although the business community generally speaks English.

This tiny country is considered as one of the best places to do business in Latin America due to a sharp increase in investments. It is often referred to as little Miami due to the resemblances it shares with this American city. One of the reason is that Panama is home to the Panama canal which was built to allow ships to cross between the Atlantic and the Pacific ocean in around one day. This journey would have taken close to one month without the canal. An expansion is scheduled to be finished by the year 2014 to accommodate post Panama ships.

Casco Viejo is an extremely visited tourist attractions as it has beautiful architecture that resembles Havana or the French quarters in New Orleans. Casco Viejo is also filled with very trendy restaurants and bars making it a favorite spot for locals as well. UNESCO as declared it as a site of world interest in 1988.

White sand beautiful beaches are abundant in Panama on both the Atlantic and Pacific side. You should definitely go to San Blas, Bocas del Toro, Contadora and Playa Blanca.

As you can see, there are plenty of tourist attractions for your vacation in the Republic of Panama.
