In fact, ever since they were introduced to society, countless crimes have been committed by people under their influence. Countless lives have also been taken because of them. No matter what angle you look at them, drug abuse would always be a pariah to society even though some would claim that they would be able to cure certain diseases.

In fact, ever since they were introduced to society, countless crimes have been committed by people under their influence. Countless lives have also been taken because of them. No matter what angle you look at them, drug abuse would always be a pariah to society even though some would claim that they would be able to cure certain diseases.

Drug abuse does not only pertain to those common drugs that are banned in all countries in general, like marijuana, cocaine, ecstasy, and the like. It also pertains to other types of drugs, like cough syrup, pain killers, sleeping pills, etc. People under their influence would be inebriated, and changes in their attitudes, if continuous, would be evident as time goes by. Because of all its negative implications, drug prevention propagandas were developed and are still in full implementation all over the world.

One of the tested and proven ways in order to ensure that a person would stay away from drugs would be through periodic drug testing. These are normally conducted to be able to get different types of permits and licenses as well as to be able to get good employment. People who are tested positive of drugs would not be able to get necessary permits. They will also not be able to land the jobs of their dreams or if they have already landed it and by chance was suddenly subjected to drug testing done periodically by companies big and small alike.

Drug testing is being used to be able to protect society as a whole. Because there is a wide range of drugs that can be detected that should not be considered as indicators of drug abuse, the drug testing method that should be used should be an effective one, that is, it should be able to zero in on the drugs that should be considered illegal. Generally, the common drugs that can be detected using common drug testing methods are the following:

1. AMP or Amphetamines

2. BAR or Barbiturates


3. BZO or Benzodiazepines

4. COC or Cocaine


5. THC or Marijuana

6. mAMP or Methamphetamine


7. MDMA or Methylenedioxymethamphetamine

The illegal substance mentioned above, when abused, would really cause a lot of changes in the individual abusing them, personality-wise and health-wise. Because these changes would not really have any positive manifestation in whoever will be abusing them, making sure that they are kept away from society through drug testing should always be among our priorities.
