One of the first things people ask when they are interested in buying a gaming platform is which one better, X-Box360, or Playstation 3? You have to look at both gaming platforms, see what features and qualities are different about them both. Each has state of the art technology, and the sound, and graphics are very comparable to one another on paper, but many find that in reality the X-Box far outweighs PS3 on overall performance, and reliability.

While there are some games you will find for the Playstation 3 that you won't find on the X-Box, overall, the 360 has a greater variety of games, and far more titles. Many titles can be found for both gaming platforms, and the cost of new games is very close for both consoles. You can play DVDs on both, but the PS3 has the new Blue Ray, and is better able to play older games, from other Playstation consoles.

Even with built in Blue Ray as a built in feature, Playstation has always had problems dealing with playing movies on their game consoles. If you really want a Blue Ray player, it would be cheaper just to buy one. This is not saying the Playstation isn't a really good gaming platform. Many who now have an X-Box360 were avid Playstation fans, who didn't need so many bells and whistles at the price of the new unit.

If you really need to examine more detailed product descriptions then you should ideally review them online and then decide which one is best for you. This will also allow you to determine what new products maybe lined up for each console. When one considers that new consoles are being designed continuously is hardly surprising that the vast majority of gamers tend to find making a choice difficult.

One good thing the keep in mind about buying a Playstation 3 is that it has a basic Lenux computer built in, and can easily access the internet through your television, and phone line. Spending money on a Playstation 3 is much cheaper than buying separate components. If you want a good gaming console, with plenty of games to keep you going, for a decent price, you may want to consider the X-Box360. It is a recommendation that you purchase the deluxe package, with the extra 60GB of hard drive, rather than the basic or even the Arcade edition.

Irrespective of which one you end up choosing, you shouldn't purchase either of them until you've compared prices as well as other things such as warranties and etc. You may also want to research shipping and handling fees although most outlets now have an online presence. Essentially, this means that if you find one online, you can simply have its shipped to the store which means you avoid having to pay any shipping charges. Of course, over and above being able to save on shipping, ordering your console this way also means that should it be defective, it will be easier for you to return it. Lastly, this will also allow you to go in and to discuss the problem directly with a representative, rather than trying to get hold of someone over the phone where in most cases you'll just be put on hold again and again and again.
