But the much safer and better way of downloading any kind of game on to your PSP is through joining a membership site.

If you look at membership sites you will notice that there are 2 types. The first type charge a low monthly fee this is good if you don't intend to purchase many games. The second type of site charges a one time fee. You should ensure that you get access to unlimited access to all the files in the database no matter which type of site you go with.

It is very simple to transfer the files from the membership site to your PSP. The first stage is to ensure that you have installed the right software on your PC. After that it is simply a case of downloading the files to your PC or laptop

Most of the more reputable sites will have the software available for you to download for free in order to accomplish this. However before you can actually start using their services you will need to pay their membership fee first this can range from around $14 a month to a life time membership fee of $40 (a one off payment). Once the payment has been made and your membership has been confirmed all you need to start doing is finding the games which you are interested in downloading on to your PSP.

You'll first download the games or movies to your local hard drive on your PC or laptop. Once you have them then it's time to transfer them to your PSP. The membership site you've chosen should provide you with easy to follow instructions. Of all the sites we reviewed PSPnerd had by far the best.

To complete the transfer to your PSP you have a choice of methods. The first and easiest is to connect your PSP to your PC with a USB cable. Your PSP should then appear as a device on your PC and you can simply transfer the files across. The second method is to use a compatible memory stick. Firstly copy the files from your PC to the memory stick then insert the memory stick into the PSP.

It is preferable to use the USB method where possible, as it is very rare for problems to occur. As soon as the cable is plugged in to both devices the PSP should appear on your PC. Then it is just a simple matter of dragging and dropping the files from the PC to the PSP. The only problems happen when you have used a file with the wrong extension or you have placed them into the wrong folder on the PSP.
