What's the best way to keep distributors from dropping out of your network marketing organization? This is a question that's been asked since the beginning of time (or at least since the beginning of network marketing!) There are some things you can do to keep more of them around for longer The longer your new distributor stays active in your organization, the more money you're going to make. Therefore, this is an extremely important part of running your business. There are many ways to help ensure they'll stick around, here are 6 ideas that have worked for me. 1. Make sure you're part of a good company. It's crucial that you are involved with a company that you believe in, and that has great products. That way, your new distributor will at least want to keep using the products even if they haven't started making money yet. 2. Enroll your new distributor with an expensive option, that showcases many of your companies products. This way they will tend to stay involved longer because they have that initial outlay that they won't want to walk away from. Plus, they'll be able to try out your companies products and sell retail the ones they can't use. My company has a package for $1200, this is the one I insist on my new recruits buying. 3. Show them how to monetize. If you can help them earn some money right away, it will help them to sustain longer. There are various ways to do this, but the one I like is affiliate marketing. This is the process of promoting other people's products and earning a commission on anything that is sold by that person to someone you send to their website. 4. Get to know them. In order to develop loyalty and accountability, you need to have a personal relationship with the people you sign up. If you just enroll people automatically on the internet or some other way, you may be able to sign them up in bunches, but you'll also lose them in bunches too because no one will know or care if they walk away. Network marketing requires personal contact, if you're not comfortable with that, this isn't the business for you. 5. Give them a plan. Train them. Let them know what to expect. Don't oversell, don't tell them they'll be making $1000/month in 6 months, or that they can retire in 2 years. It's probably not going to happen, and if you tell them that in order to get them into your business, you'll be damaging them, which is not cool. 6. Give them multiple options on how to build their business. You might like working online, but they might not. They might like to call people on the phone, or run newspaper ads, or just to talk to everyone they meet. You need to be open-minded and realize that everyone is different. There are many ways to do this business, so don't force someone to do what they don't want to because guess what? They won't! These are a few tips on how to keep new recruits in your business. Remember, every month they stay involved is another month of income for you and another month closer to success for them. It might make the difference between success and failure for you and your team! About the Author: Matt Hellstrom is an attraction network marketing coach.
